Schmid conquers the longest stage as Pidcock storms into the podium fight

Mauro Schmid claimed stage 13 of the Tour de France — the race's longest at 205.8 km from Dole to Belfort — shaking off late cramps to beat Harold Tejada in a two-man sprint. The day was shaped by a huge 37-rider breakaway, from which Tom Pidcock shone: his third place vaults him up the standings and into contention for the final podium.
