Blanka Vas leaves SD Worx early to join Lidl-Trek

Blanka Vas will leave Team SD Worx-Protime before the end of her contract and join Lidl-Trek in October, in time for the cyclocross season. The 25-year-old Hungarian has agreed a deal through the end of 2028, with 2027 set to be her first full road campaign in the team's colours.

Vas arrives as one of the peloton's most versatile riders. She has won stages at both the Tour de France Femmes and Giro d'Italia Women and has collected World Championship medals across disciplines. Her ability to sprint, attack on hilly terrain and compete in cyclocross gives Lidl-Trek several ways to use her.

The Hungarian wants to continue developing and gain more opportunities as a leader. The move will also reunite her with Niamh Fisher-Black, a former teammate, as Lidl-Trek continues to strengthen its women's roster for 2027.
