Seixas comes within metres of winning in Montréal

Paul Seixas finished second at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal after attacking on the final ascent of the World Championships circuit. The Frenchman opened a gap over the favourites, but Isaac del Toro caught him before the finish and won their two-man sprint.

Seixas described the result as another opportunity to learn. His attack and second place confirm the 19-year-old's form before he returns to the same roads for the World Championships, where the longer race and national-team tactics will create a different contest.
