Del Toro wins in Montréal and sends a Worlds warning

Isaac del Toro won the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal after catching Paul Seixas on the final climb and beating him in the sprint. Brandon McNulty completed the podium after 214.4 kilometres and 4,304 metres of climbing on the circuit that will host the World Championships road race.

Seixas attacked on the last ascent, but Del Toro closed the gap and waited until 300 metres from the finish to launch his sprint. The victory, the 33rd of the Mexican's career, confirms him as one of the leading contenders for the rainbow jersey in two weeks.
