Evenepoel and Van Aert lead Belgium for Montreal Worlds

Remco Evenepoel and Wout van Aert will lead Belgium in the elite men's road race at the World Championships in Montreal. Tiesj Benoot, Quinten Hermans, Thibau Nys, Alec Segaert, Maxim Van Gils and Gianni Vermeersch complete the eight-rider squad for the 273-kilometre race on September 27.

Belgium has two different options for the rainbow jersey: Evenepoel can attack from distance, while Van Aert offers an alternative if a reduced group reaches the finish. Evenepoel will also ride the 39.7-kilometre time trial on September 20 alongside Rune Herregodts and Segaert.
