Sivakov abandons as UAE is reduced to four riders

Pavel Sivakov abandoned the Vuelta a España during stage 13 from Almuñécar to Loja, becoming UAE Team Emirates-XRG's fourth withdrawal. The precise reason for the Frenchman's departure was not officially confirmed.

After the earlier exits of Tadej Pogacar, Pablo Torres and Jay Vine, UAE has only João Almeida, Kevin Vermaerke, Domen Novak and Ivo Oliveira left for the final week. The team will complete the race with half of its original eight-rider squad.
