Carapaz loses ground as Gall rises to fourth

Richard Carapaz lost contact with the leading favourites on the final climb to Valdelinares. He finished stage 7 in 30th place, 1:22 behind Tadej Pogacar, and dropped from fourth to seventh overall.

Felix Gall moved up to fourth at 5:01 from the red jersey. Sepp Kuss is fifth at 6:05, Oscar Onley sixth at 6:06 and Carapaz follows at 6:12, leaving only 1:11 between fourth and seventh.
