Enric Mas climbs to second overall at La Vuelta

Enric Mas was the only rider able to answer Tadej Pogacar in the decisive finale of stage 6. The Movistar rider dropped Primoz Roglic, Richard Carapaz and Felix Gall, caught the race leader and crossed the summit of El Bartolo ahead of him.

Mas and Pogacar increased their advantage on the road to Castello. Although Pogacar won the sprint, Mas collected six bonus seconds at the summit and moved into second overall, 3:34 behind the red jersey and 47 seconds ahead of Roglic.
