Pogacar beats Mas on the gravel stage

Tadej Pogacar won stage 6 of the 2026 Vuelta a Espana over 177.5 kilometres from Alcossebre to Castello. The race was decided on El Bartolo, where the leader attacked four kilometres from the summit before Enric Mas caught and passed him near the top.

The pair worked together after the descent and contested the finish, where Pogacar proved faster. Ramses Debruyne led the chasing group home 46 seconds later, while Pogacar claimed his third stage victory of this edition.
