Lorenzo Finn wins Tour de l'Avenir with final solo

Lorenzo Finn completed his domination of the 2026 Tour de l'Avenir by winning the seventh and final stage alone. The 19-year-old Italian attacked on the 127.8-kilometre route from Strambino to Ceresole Reale-Lago Serrù and finished 27 seconds ahead of Niels Driesen and 28 seconds ahead of Mateo Ramírez.

Finn had taken the race lead with a commanding victory in the uphill time trial to Flaine, where he beat Ugo Fabries by 34 seconds and Driesen by 58. He then controlled the demanding Col de l'Iseran stage before attacking again on the final day.

The Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe Rookies rider won the overall classification by 2:34 over Driesen. His season also includes the Giro Next Gen title and two stage victories there, strengthening his status as one of the leading young prospects for future Grand Tours.
