Wiebes loses lead but remains on Tour podium

Lorena Wiebes lost the Tour of Britain Women lead on the uphill finish at The Great Orme. After winning the opening two stages, the SD Worx-Protime rider finished tenth, 37 seconds behind stage winner Kim Le Court-Pienaar.

The 104.7-kilometre stage was the first major test for the general classification. Le Court attacked on the decisive climb and finished 13 seconds ahead of Liane Lippert, while Caroline Andersson took third at 20 seconds.

Wiebes limited her losses despite the steep final ramps and now sits third overall, 35 seconds behind Le Court. Lippert is second at 26 seconds with two stages remaining.
