End of an Era: Quick-Step Leaves the Team Name After 24 Seasons

13 Jul 2026

One of professional cycling's most recognisable commercial partnerships will come to an end in 2027. After 24 seasons as part of the team's name, Quick-Step will step down as a title sponsor of the Belgian squad widely known as the Wolfpack.

It will be replaced by Safety Jogger, a Belgian company specialising in personal protective equipment that has partnered with the team since 2022. From next season, the squad will race under the name Soudal Safety Jogger.

The move represents far more than a commercial rebrand. Quick-Step has accompanied the team for more than two decades, and its name has become closely associated with some of the squad's most successful periods, from its dominance of the Classics to victories in Grand Tours and international championships.

However, the historic brand will not disappear from the jersey completely. Although Quick-Step will no longer be a co-title sponsor, it has extended its support through 2030 and will retain a prominent position on the team's new kit.

Safety Jogger, meanwhile, will significantly increase its involvement and share title sponsorship with Soudal. The company hopes to use cycling's international reach to accelerate its growth beyond Belgium.

The announcement opens a new chapter for one of the longest-running structures in the peloton. The Wolfpack will have a new name in 2027, while preserving part of its historic identity through Quick-Step's continued involvement as a secondary sponsor.
