La Vuelta presents its 23 teams in Monaco

La Vuelta a España presents the 184 riders from its 23 participating teams at Monte Carlo's Casino Square on Thursday, August 20. The event is the first joint appearance by the field for the 81st edition, two days before the race begins.

Saturday's opening individual time trial starts beside the Casino and passes several landmarks from Monaco's Formula 1 circuit before finishing on Boulevard Albert I. The race concludes in Granada on September 13.

The 2026 edition is the seventh Vuelta to start outside Spain. Monaco also becomes the first place to host the opening stage of all three Grand Tours, after the Giro d'Italia in 1966 and the Tour de France in 2009.
